RESOURCES & LINKS MENTIONED:

Facebook has reported that 85% of videos are watched without sound. If you have captions on your videos, it also increases view time by 12%! Adding captions to your videos is a no brainer. In this episode I walk you through step by step on the tools we use to do this quickly and easily.

File types to order from Rev:

  • Transcription - Transcription converts your audio/video to an editable text document. It is useful for capturing the details of any audio recording to review later (ie: meetings, interviews, etc).

  • Captions - Captions are timed text shown on screen (ie: on TV, YouTube, Vimeo, etc) used to communicate spoken content and sound effects as the video plays.

  • Subtitles - You may think that captions and subtitles are similar, but they aren’t the same. Captions are a transcription of dialogue, while subtitles are a translation.
